Brisbane loves the Sunsuper Riverfire and there is almost nothing better than those fabulous fireworks and that hot afterburner action up the Brisbane River. Not to mention the Roulettes, the heavy rotary wing aircraft and the C-17.

Nothing tells you its almost Riverfire time than the RAAF doing practice runs along the river. Yes! its that time of year again.

It all starts tomorrow (Thursday 27th Sep) around 1PM with the practice run for the mighty RAAF C-17 Globmaster III . It’ll be coming in from the north along the river from the William Jolly Bridge, followed by a loop over South Brisbane and finish back over the river and the Storey Bridge.

On Friday the RAAF’s high-tech EA-18G Growler gets it’s chance to do a run through the city and make some noise at around 1pm.

Just in case you miss the practice sessions … here is the timing for the real deal on Saturday:

2:45 pm – C 17A Globemaster flypast

4:10 pm – Roulettes Aerobatic Display

5:30 pm – EA-18G Growler flypast

7:04 pm – EA-18G Growler flypast

7:05 pm – Fireworks display commences

Get your camera and grab a vantage point!
