Up to 35 aircraft will conduct a ‘dawn strike’ on Royal Australian Air Force Base Williamtown on Friday 30 June between approximately 7am to 7.30am as the Air Force’s newest air warfare combat instructors return home from Exercise Diamond Storm in the Northern Territory.
Local residents are advised more than 30 x F/A-18A Hornets, two Hawk 127 Lead-In Fighter aircraft will return to base flying in formations of up to four fighter jet aircraft, accompanied by two C-130J Hercules transport aircraft and an E-7A Wedgetail.
